Kale Yeah Inspections LLC carries out organic certification inspections for farms and handling operations — careful, calm fieldwork that helps operations stay aligned with organic standards.
What we do
An inspector visits an operation, observes practices, reviews records, and reports what was seen to the certifying agency. The agency makes the certification decision. Our role is to gather an accurate, well-documented picture — thoroughly and without drama.
On-farm visits that walk fields, buffers, inputs, seed records, and harvest handling — observing how the operation matches its organic system plan.
Facility reviews covering receiving, storage, sanitation, ingredient sourcing, labeling, and segregation of organic product.
Audit trails and mass balance exercises that follow product from purchase through sale, documenting what the records show.
Process
Every operation is different, but the shape of an inspection is steady and predictable.
A certifying agency assigns the inspection. We confirm scope, timing, and what will need to be available on the day.
An opening meeting, a walk of the operation, records review, and any sampling or traceability work the scope calls for.
We review observations with you directly, so nothing in the report is a surprise and questions get answered in person.
Findings are written up and submitted to the certifier. Certification decisions rest with the agency, not the inspector.
About
Kale Yeah Inspections LLC is an independent organic inspection practice led by Derek Brown. The work is straightforward: show up prepared, look closely, ask good questions, and write it up clearly.
Organic standards can feel dense from the inside of a busy season. We try to make the inspection itself a calm, understandable part of the year — a chance to see how the operation and its organic system plan line up.
